Outdoor Adventure

Outdoor Adventure is one of the many forms of experiential therapy Discovery Academy utilizes in the therapeutic process. Recent research from the University of Idaho shows tremendous outcome progress and success for troubled teens that have participated in this type of therapy.

Discovery Academy is affiliated with RedCliff Ascent (one of the most recognized wilderness therapy programs in the country) which enables Discovery Academy access to more resources and highly trained personnel than other therapeutic boarding schools. Discovery Academy offers a three to seven day leadership and mentoring expedition for students. We also have students participate in a three to seven day educational expedition as well as many other theme oriented outdoor experiences, all under the watchful eyes of professional and highly trained wilderness staff, compliments of RedCliff Ascent.

Discovery Academy uses these different forms of experiential therapy to build perspective, support common values, and to enhance life-governing principles.
