Momi Tu’ua
Academic Counselor

Momi Tu’ua

Momi Tu’ua graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in science. After having four boys, she decided to go back to graduate school and receive her Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling. She first came to Discovery Academy in 1995 and served as the registrar for ten years and now is the Academic Counselor. The main lure that helped Momi decide to remain at Discovery is the school setting. The individualized educational attention each student receives throughout her/his stay at Discovery is exceptional. Each class is tailor-fitted to the student’s needs, abilities, and interests. Teachers are able to work individually with each student and set attainable goals with them from month to month. As the Academic Counselor, Momi is able to provide information on careers that match the students’ interests and abilities which help form a path toward either the university or trade setting. The “Ah hah!” moment is witnessed over and over again as she helps each student make a connection between the meaning of school as it pertains to their individual future.
