Matt Hendry, LPC

Matt joined the staff of Discovery Academy during the summer of 2003. He has received his degree from The University of Utah and is certified with the National Board of Certified Counselors. Matt began working specifically in substance abuse treatment in 1999 before joining Discovery Academy. Since transitioning to working with adolescents he has had many valuable experiences at Discovery Academy and has greatly enjoyed his time here. Matt has a passionate commitment to experiential therapy. He is a certified ropes course instructor and works hard to create opportunities for students to gain insight through experiential activities on campus as well as through traditional exercises. Matt enjoys going with his family to the mountains to hike the trails and teach his children to enjoy the outdoors.
