Greg Beveridge

Greg Beveridge

Greg is one of our most beloved teachers because of his motivation to go the extra mile, literally. Besides teaching math and science at Discovery Academy, Greg can be found taking the students on much deserved hiking trips through the slot canyons of Southern Utah and fly-fishing trips in the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains. He relishes finding new ways to teach math to even the most challenging students. Greg has a BS and a MA in Math from Utah State and Brigham Young University. He has been a mathematics teacher for many years and taught subjects ranging from general math to Advanced Placement Calculus, an Adjunct Professor at Utah Valley University and has received the Utah Governor’s Award of Excellence in teaching. He has been at Discovery Academy since 1994. When he is not in front of a group of students, it might be because he is out with the Utah County Sheriff Search and Rescue Team where he pitches in to help people who for one reason or another find themselves in a real bind – not too different than the students he teaches at Discovery Academy. Greg has been married for twenty-five years and has six children.
