Casey Pehrson
Admissions Coordinator

Casey has been with Discovery Academy since 2007 where she first worked as a mentor and is currently the admissions coordinator. Prior to that she worked as a piano teacher, camp counselor, and academic tutor. She has obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in School Psychology from Brigham Young University and has been working with teens since she herself was a teenager. According to her, "The risks and challenges faced by adolescents are vital curves in the road to reaching one's full potential." Casey treasures the role models from her youth who helped her navigate her own curves throughout her teenage years, and she recognizes the impact those relationships had on the course of her life. Her hope is to play a similar role in the lives of others. Casey's favorite part of Discovery Academy experience is participating with the students in the student plays because, as she says, "You can't expect the students to get up and do something that you aren't willing to do yourself."
