Elaine comes to Discovery Academy by way of Louisiana. She began her studies at Brigham Young University where she specialized in Microbiology and Chemistry. She then spent several years in the Food Industry as a Microbiologist, before returning to school to complete her Secondary Education Degree. Elaine’s areas of certification include Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Earth Science and ESL. She has taught in the public high school system for nearly twenty years and has been with Discovery Academy since 1991. She is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling. Elaine loves reading, hiking, going on road trips, and cooking her delicious Cajun cuisine.
