Dorothy has been working with teenagers for nearly twenty years. For the last sixteen she has had the opportunity to teach at a high school in the areas of History, Sociology, and Special Education. Dorothy began teaching English and History at Discovery Academy in 1992. During that time she completed her MA in Educational and Mental Health Counseling and received her Mental Health Counseling License. She continues to teach at both a local high school and Discovery Academy, and also serves as one of Discovery Academy’s therapists. Dorothy enjoys spending time with her husband and family, reading, sewing, cooking, and camping.
